Adam Schreiber, co-owner, with his 2016 archery moose taken on the 25th day of September, 2016. Adam managed to call this big ol’ bull in to 13 yards when he tripped the switch on the release and landed this majestic Bush King. Along for the hunt was his son Harlan (7 years old) who witnessed his first ever archery kill. This is a day they will both remember forever.
Hunting is a tradition passed down from generation to generation, and it is important for us to ensure our kids learn the skills that were taught to us by our parents and grandparents. We strive to share with them as much of the experience as possible, right from hunt preparation and scouting through to butchering and sausage making. That time spent together is some of the best memories and bonding time we have with our families. Connecting in the outdoors is good for the mind and the soul, where you can slow down and enjoy simple moments in nature away from all the hustle and bustle of modern life.
We are teaching them how to hunt, but they are also learning invaluable life skills like discipline, responsibility, patience, endurance, and how to deal with disappointment when despite all their efforts, they just don’t get the result they were looking for. And when they persist and get their first animal, the feeling of pride and confidence they have will be priceless.
It is important for us at Bush King Apparel to ensure our kids are a part of this lifestyle as well. As such, our apparel line includes a full section of youth hoodies & tees to match Mom & Dad. Let the experiences begin!
